We are excited that you are considering bringing your talents to our Clark School Community! Choosing a university that best suits your interests is an important decision for you and your family. We'd like to help by providing you some information on what unique opportunities the A. James Clark School of Engineering has to offer you!

FLEXUS: The Dr. Marilyn Berman Pollans Living & Learning Community
FLEXUS is a program designed to support you as an engineering student here at Maryland. It is open to first year engineering students with an interest in promoting gender diversity in the field of engineering. FLEXUS students live in Ellicott Hall, participate in a one credit seminar covering topics including networking, professional development and leadership skills, and take first year courses in math, science and Introduction to Engineering Design together.
First year women are matched with an upper-level engineering student who will assist you throughout the fall semester. Students can use their mentor to answer questions about campus, help pick professors, learn about campus organizations and to get acclimated to college life in general.
The opportunities available to you as a Clark School student are endless! From conducting your own research, to studying abroad, to joining the engineering sorority, to getting an internship, the Clark School of engineering is here to meet your particular needs.
Women in Engineering Student Advisory Board
The WIE Student Advisory Board allows undergraduate students to gain leadership experience by serving as a voice of Clark School students. Board members are encouraged to share their opinions and suggest changes to make the Clark School an even better place to learn, grow and prosper.
