iEngineer at the University of Maryland is a summer STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) camp for rising 4th and 5th grade students. Piloted in the summer of 2009, this one-week commuter camp is an exciting opportunity for girls and boys to learn more about STEM through a variety of fun, hands-on activities!
Working with current University of Maryland engineering students will also help participants gain a better understanding of engineering concepts and real-life applications in our world.
Some questions iEngineer @ UMD will help you answer include:
- What does it mean to be an engineer?
- How do engineers help others?
- Do I want to be an engineer someday?
