The mission of WIE is to recruit, retain and advance women in engineering, and this conference provides 500 high school and community college students with the opportunity to explore the innovations and applications of engineering. It is also a unique chance to learn about the

**Special Note: WIE DREAM Conference participants who apply and are accepted to the University of Maryland's A. James Clark School of Engineering are eligible to apply for a DREAM Scholarship valued at up to $2,500!

2:00 p.m. - 2:45 p.m.         Dessert and Closing Ceremony

Sessions will cover topics ranging from the Engineering Student Experience, to DREAM Jobs, to Navigating the Transfer Student Process, to Examining Engineering Disciplines.

Want to Volunteer? 

We are seeking volunteers to help on the day of the event! If you are interested in volunteering, please register here.  

Volunteers are asked to serve for the entirety of a shift. Food will be available to you during your shift. Shift details:
Full Day - 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Half Day - 8:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. 
Half Day - 12:00 pm. - 4:00 p.m. 

As thanks for volunteering, all volunteers will receive a WIE DREAM Conference Volunteer T-shirt.  

*Please note that volunteers must be affiliated (current student, alumni, staff, faculty, etc) with the University of Maryland. If you are not affiliated with the University and wish to volunteer, please contact Becky at If you are not affiliated with the University and register to volunteer without speaking to WIE staff first, WIE reserves the right to cancel your volunteer registration (we will contact you before doing so). Thank you for your cooperation.

You will recieve an email with detailed directions and parking information prior to the event. You are also welcome to visit the Stamp Student Union's Directions webpage. Once on campus, park for free in Lot 1. Campus parking maps and apps are available here.
